Belt Epoxy

Two-part epoxy preparations are used extensively for coating, sealing, and bonding. The two chemicals make no physical or chemical changes until they are mixed in a predefined ratio. Once given time to cure, two-part epoxies form very strong bonds.

The best two-part epoxy preparations either cure at room temperature or require only a little heating. Heating two-part epoxies at 180°–220° for 2 –3 hours can accelerate the curing process. The peel strength of the cured system has to be greater than 30 pli with elongation of at least 200%.

Because the bonding power of two-part epoxy is so great, it is often used with products made of nitrile, neoprene, EPDM, and SBR.  Its long lifespan, durability, and high electrical insulating properties make it ideal for electrical applications. Two-part epoxies feature a good resistance to thermal cycling and feature outstanding rubber adhesion properties. They are suitable for the maintenance and repair of rubber products for high-temperature applications.

Silicone glue is renowned for its high heat resistance, versatility, and unsurpassed suppleness and pliability while bonding. Silicone glues can withstand temperatures of up to 600° F. Silicon glue has many applications in automotive, electrical, construction, aerospace, and electronics industries. Two-component silicone glue systems are used in a myriad of home-improvement projects and even for fixing and mending things in outer space!

Rubber epoxy makes elaborate preparation of a rubber surface unnecessary; it diminishes the need to use complex and sometimes hazardous chemicals. A variety of rubbers, like natural rubber, nitrile elastomers, and neoprene, can be used with rubber epoxy. Rubber epoxy has excellent thermal cycling properties and cures at room temperature with excellent bond strength.
